"An Evening with Vivaldi
A great success for Cosedia Cantabile - a large and conquered

For his now traditional concert of Pentecost Cosedia Cantabile choir of Coutances the country, chose to propose an "Evening with Vivaldi.

Antonio Vivaldi is now one of the most performed composers and most appreciated by the public.
Two works for chorus and orchestra as well as two concertos have honored the famous Italian composer, nicknamed "it lends rosso (The Red Priest).

Two concerts in two prestigious venues took place during the weekend of Pentecost

• Saturday May 22 at the Abbey LESSAY
• Sunday, May 23 at the Cathedral of Coutances

this occasion The Cantabile Choir Cosedia was accompanied by a instrumental ensembles and soloists to (re) discover some of the works of Vivaldi, alternately rich and powerful, soft and supple, luminous and sensual, moving and beautiful:

Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741)

• Credo RV 591, for chorus and orchestra
• Oboe Concerto in F major RV 457:

The young soloist Laura Martin, a former student of the music school of Coutances, has bewitched the audience with a high quality service.

• Violin Concerto excerpt of the 4 seasons: the violin solo

Christophe Denel has offered a moment of joy to music lovers, accompanied on the harpsichord by Marc Moreau.

• Gloria RV 589, for chorus and orchestra:
One of the most beautiful works by Vivaldi, in twelve movements with beautiful passages for soloists Angela Leterrier (soprano) and Marie-Paule Bonnemason (viola).
A very nice balance between choir and orchestra with moving passages punctuated by a trumpet and oboe.

The many spectators Lessay Coutances and showed their great satisfaction.
